Texture

Morning everyone and welcome to the latest challenge over at MAWTT, chosen this time by Mrs Duck. She's gone with the great theme of
Texture

So grab those embossing powders and folders, your charms and ribbons and anything else you can think would add texture to your work.

To add texture to my card, I went with die cuts and embossing folders.  I've gone for a simple colour scheme and a gorgeous Hannah Lynn image and finished my card off with a LOTV sentiment and ribbon.

Challenges;
Polkadoodles - Girly but no pink
Clear it Out - Girls and die cuts and stash items... Image printed and coloured months ago/ old ribbon.
Fan-tastic Tuesday - texture
TopTipTuesday- All about the hair
Make it Mon with Kraft - Emboss
Make my Mon - Kraft

And poor Mrs Duck is feeling poorly this week, hope you feel better soon and have learned your lesson, keep away from the chickens!!! Jx

Circles and Squares

It's almost the end of the month folks, May has all but been and gone, the garden is brightening up and the grass is growing like mad!  Things are going to plan in Aberdeen, Colin's flat is looking good but as with any property, there are always things to do!

Anyway, back to today, and Wynn's challenge over at OohLaLa.  This time we are looking for

Circles and Squares

So get your thinking caps on.  Be that a paper pattern, an image or dies, as long as we see both, you meet the challenge.

For my card, I went with a square base and circle decoupage.  This was a first for me and I must confess I did find it tricky lining up the dies on the image.  Any tips on this process would be much appreciated as several circles had to be binned cause they had either a white rim or when stacked my circle pyramid was wonky!!!

Who said DT members knew what they were doing???

Anyway, here is my card, it uses a lovely image off the Shaun Jenkins CD called Birdhouse.

Challenges;
A Gem of a Challenge - Flowers
Allsorts - Happy Birthday
Crafty Calender - Things with wings - Blue tit
Wags n Whiskers - Lots of Layers

Let's Get Fruity

Hi everyone, hope you're all well.  This is a scheduled post from me as we are currently in Aberdeen for a spell, sorting out a flat for Colin amongst other things.  Once I've got it to my liking I'll show you pics.  It's in the same block as Alan's which we are delighted about and will make visiting very straightforward.

Anyway back to today and the new challenge over at MAWTT, chosen by Carole, and it's

Let's Get Fruity

A nice fun challenge for this time of year and one that enabled me to use yet another gorgeous, hand painted image from the latest Ooh La La CD - The Paula Oakley collection.  So love this CD and have printed off loads of images to use in the coming weeks.

Challenges;
The Crafters Cafe - Feminine (Hope this is feminine enough with the doily & pearls?)
Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Use A Pre-Coloured Image

Good morning everyone and welcome to the latest challenge over at Ooh La La... set by me!  As you can probably tell, I'm super excited to be at the helm and for my theme, I've chosen...

Use A Pre- Coloured Image

Hopefully a nice and easy one with lots of scope for using art pads, CD's or printed sheets.  Now with it being an Ooh La La Challenge, I obviously went with an Ooh La La CD - The Shawn Jenkins collection to be precise, and not only did the image come off the CD, but also the lovely matching papers, so all I needed was my charm, pearls & punch!

 As with many of the images on the CD, there was the option to go decoupage, so that's what I did!

Challenges;
Little Claires - Use kraft
Brown Sugar - Layers - decoupaged
Fussy and Fancy - Lots of flowers
Creative Moments - Anything goes
Fab n Funky - May Flowers Jx

Cat Challenge

Well Wynn, you certainly picked a theme that I'd jump at this week - there's no way I'd miss a cat challenge so as soon as I saw your CD Sunday post, I knew which CD I was headed for.  Yup, you guessed it, it's the latest Ooh La La CD, the Paula Oakley collection and without further ado, here's my card!

The decoupaged image and papers are all from the CD, all I did was add a diecut and pearls.

Challenges;
CD Sunday - Curious Cats although he's not too curious just now!
Make My Monday - Trees or leaves - hopefully the cat is lying on sufficient leaves
Glitter n Sparkle - Anything Goes
Natalie & Amy - Animals
Paper Creator Crafts - Animals Jx
