Christmas Cupcake

Haven't made a Christmas card this week, so I thought I'd better attend to that. Made this quick CAS card using a Bugaboo digi, coloured with Promarkers then glazed & glittered in places. The ribbon & card candy have been added to complete my card.

Challenges;
CHCC - Christmas Foliage - decorating the cupcake
ABC Christmas - "K" for Keep it simple. Jx

Purple Magna

A few weeks ago I made this card in browns, & one of my friends daughters who is about 7 said to her Mum that she really liked it, but that I was daft doing it in brown cause everybody knows little girls don't like brown, they like pinks & yellows & purples! Amy then told me this herself & said she would like a similar card but in purple - I aim to please, so Amy, this one's for you!

I haven't put a sentiment on this time, as I think the plan is to get a little frame and hang it in Amy's room.

Challenges;
Sugar Bowl - Anything goes as long as it has a Sugar Nellie, which it does. Jx

Anything Goes @ Oldie But A Goodie

Well this certainly is an Oldie - it's a 1990 House Mouse called Eatin & Sleepin in a Sunflower - & I love it! It's also a much more appropriate stamp to be using than the snowman in the last post! Hasn't the weather this past week been FANTASTIC! We're back to cool grey now, which I have to add is also fantastic, but the heat was good for a short burst.

Today's card is for the current Oldie But A Goodie Challenge which is set as

Anything Goes

So there's no excuse not to enter this time! The prize for our lucky winner will be this lovely set of embellishments and super stamp.

When entering, remember you can use both digi & rubber stamps, but you must use something older than 6 months on your card & tell us what it is. In my case it's the stamp!

So, my card uses my HM stamp, coloured with Promarkers, Doodlebug paper & Wild Orchid flowers and the ribbon is from Ribbon Girl.

Hope you'll check out the other DT's great works on the main blog, before joining us this time around at An Oldie But A Goodie, Jx

Last Teacher Thanks

You'll all be glad to hear that this is my last teacher thank you card for now - I wasn't going to post this one, but it fitted in perfectly with the Cupcake Craft challenge of book lover so clearly I had to post!

As it's another sunny day here today, I don't think much crafting will happen. The boys are still revising, these exams are going on for ever, but by the end of the month they'll all be done and dusted - yipee! Jx

Teacher Thanks

I haven't been doing quite so much card making this week, the last few postings were of cards which had been prepared but never put together. Teacher thank you's have been in that category for a few weeks now, but I always made another card rather than finishing them off!

The reason for the decline in production is Colin being on exam leave with only one exam to go and two & a half weeks to prepare for it, so he decided he wanted a bit of a break so we've been doing things together.

So, this card is for one of Alan's teachers before he leaves school.

Challenges;
Pile it On - CAS
I Love Promarkers - Anything goes
Coffee Chocolate & Cards - One for the boys, Jx

Happy 50th John

My brother will be 50 at the beginning of June, and is a keen golfer, so I thought this Bugaboo would be perfect for him. I've made a easel style card then put the "50" on the base using a stamped golf ball for the "0". I got this idea off Jo and her great card here. (Sorry about the photo, but I needed the light at the window & because it's an easel I couldn't crop out the garden!!!

Things With Wings

It really doesn't seem like two weeks ago that I was outlining the last Oldie But Goodie Challenge, & here we are again about to start another! Firstly though, I'd just like to say thank you to all those who joined in the fun last time, we had a fabulous 182 entries!

This time it's the turn of the lovely Debs to choose our theme - & she's gone with

Things With Wings

A fabulous challenge don't you think and it's sponsored this time by The Digi Doodle Shop, who are offering the lucky winner some free digi's.

To enter our challenge you can use both rubber & digi stamps, but your project must include something older than 6 months. My oldie is this LOTV stamp and shockingly this is it's first use!!!

So, onto my card, I've used a great LOTV stamp called Dandelion Fairy, MME Six by Six papers and ribbon along with my MS doily punch and my Prima Donna flower dies.

So that's my take on the challenge, now go see what the other DT ladies got up to before making your own project.

New Reindeer

...This time with a tree!

Like I didn't have a stamp suitable for a traditional Christmas challenge - apparently not, hence this gorgeous purchase from Bugaboo. Well at $3 a pop who can go wrong, & I'm sure I'll make loads of cards with him!

So, my card today uses my old faithful, Dovecraft, Happy Jolly Christmas papers - boy will I miss them when they are all used up! Colouring is done by Promarker, & the ribbon & buttons are from my stash.

Flower Power

Positively Pampered

Today has been a lovely day, it started off sunny, then went very wet, but now it's lovely. So lovely in fact that Alan went to football training & I stayed out the hour & walked around Cuminestown, a neighbouring village. It was then back for lasagne for tea and to finish off this card before The Apprentice.

Now this is the first time I've used this lovely stamp, sent to me by Laurie - isn't she lovely! (That's Laurie, as well as the girl on the stamp!)

I have to say, I'm always a bit apprehensive about colouring LOTV stamps, I don't always find them that easy to do however on this occasion I'm delighted with the end result! She's coupled with lovely MME Six by Six papers and I also used my super new flower die called Prima Donna available here from Dies to Die For. Finally with a dash of fairy dust, (Stickles) & some glaze, I was done!

Challenges;
Made Especially For You - Mothers Day Card with ribbon - I've used tri colour brown ribbons over both brown border punched strips.

Christmas Again

Never before have I been so organised for Christmas - and it's only May! Thanks to all the new Bugaboo digi stamps I won at the turn of the year, Christmas has been a joy - it means getting my hands on my new digi's where as in previous years I keep using old stamps the first half of the year awaiting the current year Christmas releases.

So, today was May Day - not the best weather wise, but I got my run first thing & the grass cut too before the heavens opened!

So tonight, it's a card then Britain's Got Talent with Colin, then off to bed for him as his Geography exam is tomorrow - good luck my little MRL!!!

My card uses a Bugaboo Reindeer - there are loads to pick from along with some craft companion papers & a blob or two of glaze.

Well this is my first time playing with a Teddy Bo image, but when I saw this one over on Sheila's blog, I knew it was one for me - isn't this guy cute!

So, I coloured him with Promarkers & combined him with some more of the papers I dug out from the back of the drawer, (Dovecraft), added in some ribbons & buttons & even a die cut off my new Cottage Cut doily. Finally a bit of distress inking of edges & I was done.

So, onto my little piggy - it's another great Bugaboo, coloured with Promarkers then glazed in places. Papers are Dovecraft & buttons out of the drawer!

Delgaty Rocks

Both my boys are in the academy house team Delgaty. Colin is in 4th year and in the middle of sitting his standard grade exams & Alan is in 6th year and after his exams will be leaving school. This term has been a busy one for them both, but especially Alan as he has started planning his next stage of life. There have been uni applications & job applications not to mention finding accommodation & applying for scholarships and as if that wasn't enough to keep him busy, he threw in wanting to learn to drive too! With all these applications flying off, he has relied heavily on his school house master Mr Martin for support, guidance & references, so we thought a personalised card would be a great idea to show our appreciation of Mr Martin & all he's done.

So that's the story behind the card!

The card itself is for the current Oldie But Goodie Challenge which I've set this time and it's theme is;

Die Cuts & Punches

As well as following the theme please also use something older than 6 months (The Oldie Bit) on your card & tell us what it is.

The prize this time around is from our fabulous sponsor Bugaboo, & they are offering the winner 7 digi's of their choice. What a great prize, & not only that, they also very kindly gave all the DT members a stamp too to play with, so generous, so thanks again guys.

I chose this brilliant Deacon stamp called, Deacon-School Sign It. He's coloured with Promarkers, in green, (house colours), then I used my MS border punch along with my nestie dies to comply with the challenge. Finally I used an oldie ribbon which I won in a lovely Ribbon Girl prize last year.

As for the image, it comes with a blank whiteboard, just waiting for your message. Colin taught me how to add a text box over the image, and da-da, your stamp is personalised!

Well that's what I did this time, but the other DT ladies have also had lots of Bugsaboo fun, so head on over to the main blog and see which stamps they picked & the fabulous cards they made.
